An affordable solution for small jobs

Drilled four holes in very old concrete with a hammer drill. The 3/8 bit showed signs of wear after two holes and wore heavily after the fourth. I didn't use water to cool the drill bit and that could make a huge difference, but I didn't think it would be necessary for just a couple of holes. Most people don't drill concrete often and shouldn't spend a lot of money on something they won't be using for a decade or two.
