Review on Masonry MAPRIAL Concrete Carbide Storage by James Auzenne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An affordable solution for small jobs

Drilled four holes in very old concrete with a hammer drill. The 3/8 bit showed signs of wear after two holes and wore heavily after the fourth. I didn't use water to cool the drill bit and that could make a huge difference, but I didn't think it would be necessary for just a couple of holes. Most people don't drill concrete often and shouldn't spend a lot of money on something they won't be using for a decade or two. However, if your project requires a large number of holes, you may need larger or better drill bits and possibly some water on the surface of the drill bit. Also, larger bits require a fairly large chuck since they don't shrink on the end of a quarter-inch chuck. This kit is a great affordable purchase for those who only need to drill a few holes.

Pros
  • DURABLE INDUSTRIAL QUALITY CARBIDE TIPS – Carbide tipped drill bits are built to last and stay sharp much longer than traditional steel drill bits.
Cons
