Cylinder huge bottom short

It was difficult to understand the actual size from the pictures. They do not work well in a regular gutter/downspout. I have two built in gutters that I bought them for and they fit in there. However, the part that goes into the drain pipe turned out to be surprisingly small. So I expect it to be blown away by the strong winds that hit Washington. I didn't replace any of the metal ones I already had, so I have 4 chances. Read other one star reviews.

Completely illogical

I am truly sorry that I fell for that bait. If you have a tree problem that eventually blocks your gutter, the same contents will block your gutter from above in seconds during a rainstorm. Both end up with the same end result. a useless gutter, except it clogs MUCH sooner. Bad product. If anything good can be said, he actually does what he describes. I just can't imagine what use case that might actually have.

A little fiddling to set up, but looks like they work well.

They are large and just about fit in our guitars. In fact, with a small roof overhang, it takes some time to install them properly. And each of them has so many "legs" that it takes a little effort to squeeze them all together at once to fit the bottom nozzle. We're talking about 10-15 seconds instead of 3-5 seconds with aluminum wire filters. So it's not that long, but the first one or two will take a little effort before you get the hang of it. Not visible from the ground, so don't worry. It…

Exactly what I need and works great

I have 2x4 gutters in my outhouse. In the past I've used stretchable aluminum drainpipe guards and never used guards at all, but in both cases the drainpipes clogged and leaves/needles swam all the way to the point where the water could drain very slowly, not to mention very cold hands that it attempted to clear 100 foot gutters in the middle of a New York winter. I bought Gutter Balloon Guards and installed them this fall. Safety fences easily fit downspouts and their large, round bottle…

Ideal for flat roofs

I live on the [terrible] edge of flat roofs. This type of roof has a vertical plank around the edge that collects water (leaves, needles, leftover crows). In theory, water should drain into corners where holes lead to downspouts. I wanted the channel screen to be made up of mostly vertical elements so that small items could pass with the water while larger items were held back. The bottom is flexible and hangs well in the scuppers, but may work better with a round hole. They're easily visible…

Great Gutter Guards

I have been in the landscaping business for 36 years, have had clients for 29 years and every fall I clean their gutters and downspouts. Here's what I found: 1. Galvanized and aluminum mesh gutter edges degrade quickly (within a year); Old-school plastic crowns become brittle and crack in the sun; Copper mesh crowns are good BUT only for copper gutters. Otherwise you will get a bimetal corrosion effect and the metals will be affected. Polypropylene is great. I moved my PE liner from my 1990…
