Cuts 2020 aluminum extrusions cleanly and quickly

I bought this to cut 2020 aluminum extrusions on a miter saw after trying a DEWALT 'Heavy Duty' aluminum oxide metal grinding wheel. The DEWALT blade was a nightmare. He deformed the aluminum and got it so hot it melted the saw bed. This one just cuts like it's no big deal. I recommend for this use.

Pros
  • A pleasure to use
Cons
  • Fits

Worth cutting aluminum neatly

I've been trying to trim some bellows for some windows and tried using my 10" Dewalt saw blade with a Ryobi miter saw and this Cutting was so slow it eventually burned out badly looked at a window. The cut edges were very jagged and rough to sand them smooth. I bought a Chinese saw with this blade and now the cuts are so clean I don't even have to sharpen them. Some time and labor savings.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

cut 1 " solid aluminum bar like butter

I am really impressed with this blade. I had to break a 1" solid aluminum bar down to 5/8" to make a piece I for my boat to roughly cut off. I saw positive reviews and decided to give it a try. I made several passes on the table saw, cutting each pass about 1/4" deeper. The saw didn't bind, the blade held up very well until now she has ripped 2 pieces completely off by 1". I'll let the broth cool a bit. Can't comment on durability as it will sit on my wall for as long as I need it again, but…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Most excellent blade for the price

Excellent blade for the price. I used it to cut strips of half inch sheet aluminum on a Craftsman 15 amp table saw. Acceptable surface finish and cuts material easily. Warning: The soft nature of the 6063 cuts like crazy. Even with low feed and a lot of saw blade lubrication. I have to stop every 8-12 inches to remove any excess material stuck in the blade. Listen carefully as you cut and remove these jams as soon as they occur or when you are most likely to break your teeth.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Wow! Easily cuts 1/2 " thick alloy

I was very skeptical about this blade because I've always been taught you can't cut metal with a power tool designed for wood. However, I had to cut a piece of 6061-T6511 aluminum 8" wide and 1/2" thick. Without a chop saw or bandsaw, I had no intention of cutting it with a hacksaw or angle grinder. Thought it might be worth a try for $20. I put it in my slide miter saw and using the adjustable depth gauge, cut a set of approx. The passages are 1/8" deep just to be conservative. Wow! It cuts…

  • Lots of positive vibes

Very disappointing results

This is the first review I have ever written for a product. I ordered this blade to cut Aluminum Screen Tight - Mini Track Patio Screen Frame material. The results were very disappointing. It cut through the frame but ripped apart portions of the cut to the point where I had to make another cut, wasting expensive frame materials. At least the fragments at the edge of the cut must be filed with a small metal file. (A very time consuming process!) After the first few cuts I decided to return the…
