not happy with it

It has been 16 months since the 5 year retest date as others have noted; not happy about it. As others have pointed out, the pressure tests are fine, but barely able to produce a decent vacuum. Leaks around the valve stems. With the liquid valve and cap closed, I applied some Nylog sealant around the vapor stem and was able to get it down to 400 microns. Generally not happy.

  • Easy install

This is a very good recovery tank

This is a very good recovery tank. It is approved for connoisseurs and filled with nitrogen (not evacuated). Just remember to suck it up when you're ready to use it. Better than my tanks I get at the supply store but hey none of my other tanks have let me down so I guess as long as they work they're good enough. It's nice and shiny if that's what all HVAC boys care about. Maybe your wife doesn't mind so much in the garage. Haha.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works in Refrigerant Recovery Tools

Purchased to recover R22 from a replacement system. Worked great. Supplied with approximately 100psi of nitrogen in the tank. Some recommend rinsing off tool oil, others say it doesn't matter much. Usually, tanks are rinsed in production before they are sealed. I haven't had any issues with them and they hold a vacuum/seal very well. If you plan on storing it for a long period of time, I would recommend getting some brass caps with a 1/4" SAE O-ring as an extra precaution. For those wondering…

"New " three year old cylinder

The quality of this cylinder is good and it looks brand new. My problem is that refrigerant cylinders have to be checked every 5 years which is a big problem and this 'new' one I got was well over half of its expiry date already! It was manufactured in 2018 and has a retest date of December 23rd. To make matters worse, the seller has applied the Revain sticker in such a way that it completely covers the retest stamp, as can be seen in the attached photo. You can't convince me that the stickers…

quality, works well.

I am an ASE certified mechanic who purchased this with a Robinair rg6 for vehicle air conditioning evacuation to minimize refrigerant loss during service where air conditioning components are removed Need to become. I just have to say I had no idea what I was missing! Using this to store refrigerant overnight allows me to purge air while leaving it alone and redirecting the liquid allows me to pump it to the high pressure side with a recovery machine, which makes AC charging VERY quick. I wish…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Only available in white

Tools and equipment can't go wrong

Everyone seems to like products with big or bigger brand names, although Mastercool also meets the quality level and in my opinion is just as good at a much lower price! I don't see how anyone's repair tanks can be built any better than these! Very strong tank, good valves and everything meets the requirements, which speaks for their quality! When you stop and think of all those freons that are sold in disposable bottles that are made to federal and state specifications to withstand the…
