These brushes are similar to the Tarte and Mac 167SH brushes (pictured) but are definitely not replicas if that's what you're looking for. The bristles are too soft and brittle to use with mineral powder and other cosmetics. I apply my mineral powder to my skin (according to my powder instructions) and these brushes just cut into my skin. My old mineral/makeup brushes were the best! They have just enough substance for that. They are good for applying a light finishing powder that does not require pressure on the bristles to apply powder/makeup. Nice that there are two types of brushes. I'm new to makeup (although I'm 61) and definitely watch too many skincare videos on YouTube. These brushes are soft and full. So far so good (hence the four stars). At the moment I recommend them. Good price and apparently good quality.
