Simple, cheap but effective

Can't comment on liability as we use DVD cases and the seal is left unsealed. The DVD collection, because we haven't blended in with the crowd when it comes to digital movie watching. They are just the thing: simple, inexpensive and keep things tidy. I find the DVD ad unappealing due to the different colors on the cover. We've been able to ditch all of our drawers and cut our DVD storage space down to two rather small bins. The minimalist in me is happy. I will update the photos as I…

Good quality thick envelopes

I maintain and maintain several archives that require the storage of thousands of M-Discs and other optical discs. I used Walmart Onn sleeves, which were the incredibly heaviest sleeves I could find. Walmart was discounting them, so I looked for a new heavy case. Maxtek Premium bushings are approximately the same thickness as Onn bushings. I am very satisfied with the Maxtek sleeves. Daniel D. Creating a new style of organization

I'm looking for a different way to store and organize DVDs/BLU-RAYs and CDs. I'm frustrated with album style storage - there's always not enough space and it's difficult to add new releases with things like this. Previously, it was easy to insert a disc (and, on some CDs, an information sleeve) and they take up much less space. The envelopes seem strong enough to be shuffled and picked out occasionally, as well as easy to sort through. It should be easier for the kids to make choices and find…

No problem here

So over the last 30 years I've accumulated several hundred CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays, all of which have been copied to my home server. Rather than wasting valuable storage space by keeping them in their original packaging I have chosen to keep the disc and liner notes with CDs and for the most part these cases hold up great. I can fit two to three CDs and their liner notes in an envelope, although it usually only takes one CD and its liner notes. With DVDs, I just keep the disc and throw the rest…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

First let me say that I only bought 500 CD/DVD paper sleeves from Kodak, that is until they stopped making them many years ago. I liked the quality as they were thicker than other brands and have stood the test of time. I ran out of the last two boxes of sleeves and had to look for an identical alternative as I'll be going through them pretty quickly. I am referring to Kodak as they were of high quality and had higher ratings than other brands at the time they were made. Count the Kodak boxes…
