MaxxHaul 70149 Swing Trailer Wheels Review

I wanted a jack for my 1996 Four Winns 240 Horizon and saw this jack. I've read reviews, seen photos of it and seen that it has a 1500lb load capacity. So I bought that. I just installed it today and it's working fine so far. The brackets that attach to the trailer seem a little flimsy, but hopefully they will hold the heavy weight of my boat. But overall it works great and can be attached almost anywhere on the trailer. If all goes well I might buy another one for my other boat.

Thought it would be heavier and work much better than a wheel. I was wrong. It is very difficult to move two empty trailers. I had to grease the whole rod with grease. It helped the movement a bit but still seems to have a mind of its own. When I turn a trailer, I often slide sideways on the wheels. The single lift I had before worked much better. Will stay the way it was installed but hopefully it will break soon and I'll have to replace it. I put one back.

Very harsh operating conditions. Well made and lasts a long time. The wheels work well, which is not the case with many other manufacturers. This is heavy equipment, not a toy. My axle yokes were too far apart for an easy axle assembly. A few hammer blows in each direction closed them enough to tighten the shaft bolt. They then closed normally by threading a nut into the shaft bolt holding the wheels. I bought mine at a significant discount because the original owner obviously didn't understand

Up until a few weeks ago I loved everything about this jack. I have had the jack for several months and it is easy to use. That was until a few weeks ago when the handle was difficult to turn. I'm talking about the black handle that you have to use to operate the jack. It should rotate in your hand as you raise and lower the trailer. We have this jack for our JetSki 2 man trailer. Installation was easy and works as described. I would give it more stars BUT the box and packaging it arrived in was VERY THIN, thin cardboard and thin plastic wrap. When the box arrived, several parts of the jack were sticking out of the box. I will play around with the installation as it took literally less than 5 minutes. You assemble the wheel components and attach the handle, then bolt it to your chosen trailer and use pressure to hold it in place. A toddler can figure out how to install it faster than lining up shapes or counting to 3. It's a simple, efficient design, durable and of good quality. Bought last October everything looked solid and heavy. Installation was easy and I was happy with the purchase. But I could only use it 3 times.
