I received this item on August 7th and started using it immediately. I've used it on vinyl floors and it picked up dust and dog hair which is all I ask. The grip feels solid enough for me as I don't put too much pressure on it just by gliding across the floor. Later this week I'll try it on the floor as well to see how it works. I see there may be an issue later with the handles holding the pads. You had to do this for it to snap into place.

I wash 2000 sq ft once a week. I like almost everything about this mop. Today I noticed that one of the connections had come loose and in just a few moments the metal tube broke right where the threads connected to the other part. With that in mind, I'd still consider the mop again as I'm probably a bit more aggressive than most. I also rub travertine tiles, which offer more resistance to the head than, for example, linoleum, wood or artificial stone.

We bought this mop to clean our new wooden floors. Assembly was easy and everything seems to be holding up well. I bought this based on all the positive reviews but it really doesn't suit me. At first I couldn't get the mop to stay on the handle; withstood a lot of pressure and then stood in place. When I use it as a wet mop, the head keeps spinning with a push/pull motion. If I just pushed (or just pulled) it kind of worked, but it kept trying to stay on the ground.
