Works great but some need a size up just because the waistband is too tight and rises too high on the stomach and the waist belt is too tight to roll down. I would say he averages 6 years old and weighs about 43 pounds.

I bought this boys boxer/cup two days ago on a whim as the cup I bought at the local sporting goods store is not comfortable for my 8 year old son. When it arrived he tried it on and it fit perfectly - and very comfortable! I didn't have high hopes before ordering, but was pleasantly surprised!

This is a terrible cotton rich fabric. The material does not absorb moisture, the shorts are very loose, although the waist fits well. The cup will hang down and hurt your child more than not wearing the cup. The biggest problem is that it cannot be refunded through Amazon. The other two brands I bought can be returned but not this one. Great difficulties.

No returns! I skimmed the paragraph to see where it says this and I still can't find that statement. I just received them this week so it's not a timing issue. I bought Youth Regular for my 9 year old. He had previously worn the brand's children's clothing in a different cut so I assumed the fit would be the same. Not correct! I wish I hadn't ordered them online just because I had no idea what material they are made of. In the past we've bought compression shorts with cups at the local gym and they've been made of a sportier, moisture-wicking material that hugs the hips nicely. Both of my boys prefer it. You are the right waist size and the cups are of good quality but be aware this is more of a cotton fabric. It's not bad. if that's the type of compression you're looking for. The inseam on them is too long to effectively hold the protective shell in place. They are impossible to wear. I had previously purchased three pairs of McDavid Little League knickers for my sons with good results so I suspected that when ordering I would receive a similar product this time.
