Cross Stitch Cards for All Occasions

This card stitch book has so many beautiful patterns to embroider for any occasion. David and Charles' books are always beautifully illustrated and this one is no exception. Maps range from large to smaller with simpler graphics. If you are an embroiderer who loves making cards, you will love this book.

Cross Stitch Cards - Crafts, Hobby and Home

I bought this book to add Hardanger to cards and wanted to expand. This seemed like the perfect way. I was a little disappointed with all the children's patterns, but I really liked some of the patterns, like the one on the cover. I've already made one, I like it very much. They are perfect for card inserts.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

New favorite! at Crafts & Hobbies

When I buy a cross stitch book and get a really good design in it, I find the book to be worth the money. This book is worth the money I spent and more! I love it and plan to do almost every design in the book. I plan to use the designs I embroider as small pictures to hang on the wall or as bookmarks, embellishments, pin cushions, etc. rather than greeting cards, but these designs are versatile enough to be used in almost anything. I especially like the sampler style designs, but there are too

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great ideas with a simple touch

I'm a fan of Joan Elliott and this collection did not disappoint. Many of the designs are easy enough to complete in a day and all have that special flair that she puts into her designs. Like many of her other books, it includes tips and how-to's for using the templates on a variety of other projects; Napkins, cookie cutters, photo album sleeves and more. And as much as I enjoyed flipping through her book, I couldn't give her five stars for the one thing that bothered me, she had some repeats…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
