Meguiars D11101 Shampoo Plus Gallon Review

Very smooth and lots of foam. Ideal for foam gun. I've tried many other soaps. I've been using this for several years now. I just ordered the 4th gallon.

My review may be biased as I am a huge Meguiar fan. But I have used many different products from different companies and have always found Meguiar products to be exactly as advertised. Not as expensive as the others and just as good.

I have tested various soaps and the slipperiness of this soap is superior to others. Other soaps I've tested are Chemical Guys Pink, Griot's Brilliant Finish Car Wash, Armor, and All Snow Foam Wash. All soaps produce a large amount of suds from the suds gun, but when the car is hand washed, Meguiars provides the best lubrication.

Favorite car shampoo. I detail cars for extra money and this is my shampoo. I've used the gold class before and it's a tier up. A little goes a long way and it has great glide. Maybe it's me, but it seems that after using this product, cars dry more easily and with very few water spots. Definitely a noticeable difference to other shampoos, even the gold class.

Very thick, using only 1 ounce per gallon, you'll get your money's worth. When washing, it retains dirt and is easy to wash off. It's very weak so it doesn't remove the wax (I think). Both of my cars are very well maintained so washing is easy and that fits the bill. The only downside is that wash in the foam gun is terrible. Not sure why, but it turns out incredibly thin and doesn't stick or foam at all. Works well in a bucket, just not in a foamer.

Thanks Meguiar's! I was unlucky enough to try other guys hard mud soap on one of my cars and was totally disappointed. I don't know why I expected more. Luckily I decided to take it off the shelf when it came time to wash another car a few days later. A day-night difference in the quality and essence of Meguiar versus the fluff and hype of other types. This soap has always been a pleasure to use and has restored my faith in humanity after all the crap the other guys keep throwing out.
