This is a tank. Since I didn't want to damage the ceiling beam, I used a spring clip for a heavy Meister bag. Works great. Moves in all directions, is silent, and has survived some serious abuse.

This product is junk, the first screw broke because it wasn't long enough so we had to buy it at the hardware store. Not only that, it is also unsafe. Very insecure. I only gave this 1 star because I would not be allowed to leave my review without adding a star

So far, so good! I bet my 100 pounds. Thai bag in my garage. I used a block between the ceiling joists and hung a coat hanger on this block (2x6). I was even able to hug the bag and she was able to pick up the bag and me at the same time with no problem (I weigh 190 pounds). ). Good sturdy hanger for a heavy bag. I use an 85 lb bag that easily hangs on a hanger. I have and recommend using a heavy duty spring (pictured) to absorb a significant amount of shock from heavy use and impact. I have been teaching martial arts for over 30 years and I find this combination of binding and spring excellent.

This is a great hanger. I have a 100 pound bag with a feather on it. One important thing: mark your drill bit with a piece of tape, your pilot hole must be 2.5" or you will have to use too much torque to tighten the lag screw and the top will snap off which happened to me and I had to have one replace of screws. I've had four good workouts with this hanger and it's great but you have to use a spring, it hits too hard with a 100lb bag or better. The spacers do a great job of keeping the spring…
