Definitely a good buy

I ordered this as a Christmas present for my nephew after the original "toolbox" of a different type was damaged and the plastic already broke. It was very embarrassing to give a broken toy before he even touched it. However, once I found this, I regretted not buying it from the start! So sweet and strong. Everything is made of wood and looks very expensive. Not cheap plastic like most toys. He loves it and his favorite feature is lumber and velcro blocks where he can saw and "cut" between…

Poor quality toys Melissa and Doug. What a disappointment!

The toy bench was a Christmas present for our grandson but we decided not to give it to him for Christmas as he had so many toys. Instead, it was handed over to him at the end of January. Within a week, two parts of the toy broke. This was not due to neglect or abuse. In addition, nuts and bolts are very difficult to handle. I bought other similar toys for the preschool where I was the admin that are MUCH easier for kids to manipulate and use. I cannot recommend this product. If there was a…

Such a disappointment for toddlers and toddler toys

I bought this for my grandson's 4th birthday because he loves to play with the 30 year old Fisher Price workbench I have at home. You have to hammer in two nails, that's his favorite pastime. They are very strong and difficult to remove. You can't pry them out with the back of a hammer because even nails won't fit in the slot. (Fisher-Price was brilliant with these details.) The screws do not thread into the top of the workbench. You have to screw them into one of the nuts, which again is very…

Flexible Set - Hammer Toys

We bought this for my 2 year old (yes I know the small parts) and kept some of the parts until he was older. The set allows the child to saw the board (Velcro, like cutting food) and use screws and nails to hold the boards together. I love the many options in this set. I think it will take a long time. At first he simply played by putting instruments in the holes above and other objects below. Then he hammered nails, now he's learning to saw and screw. As he gets older he will be able to build…

Mediocre quality and incompatibility with other kits M&D

I am a craftsman and always have tools and materials. It was only natural that my son would be interested in my screwdrivers, hammers and wrenches. So this playset on the workbench seemed perfect for our collaboration! We've had success with other M&D products, but this doesn't live up to the standards of their other products. First, the quality of the wood was pretty low. The fuzzy plywood that had to be sanded was annoying but not dangerous. But then, while sawing on the Velcro board, it…
