🧩 Melissa & Doug Chunky Wooden Puzzle Set: Engaging Puzzles for Toddlers Review

My kids love Blues Clues so of course they love this chunky wooden puzzle. It's colorful, very well made and easy for my 2 year old to use. Under each letter from the show there are corresponding themes. This puzzle is great value, suitable for children aged 2-5 and there is no doubt that it is solid.

This is a solid, high quality puzzle that I have come to expect from Melissa and Doug. This is a very large puzzle so make sure you have enough space to store it. My 2.5 year old daughter loves jigsaw puzzles and it helps her learn the alphabet, words and colors well. It is of very good quality, bright colors and just attracts my daughters. I would recommend it!

My 3 year old grandson liked the toy. Below each piece is a picture of the item that starts with a letter on the piece, so it's mostly about alphabet recognition and some eye-hand coordination to get the item where it belongs. It would be better if an adult would help the child learn the name of the picture to help with the sound of the letter, because the little ones may not know what some objects represent, but my grandson was interested.

My 3 year old loves this puzzle. Like other Melissa and Doug toys, this is a great quality product. I love that this allows parents to reinforce the sounds of the letters by putting pictures of the words, not just the letters, under the puzzle pieces. My only minor complaint is that sometimes an attempt is made to insert a letter that is technically appropriate but not correct. If they were carved closer to the letter shape, this would not be possible. However, we both love this puzzle.

I have not opened this product yet as it is a gift due in about 2 weeks. In general, when unpacking, all parts are present and correspond to the product description. The colors are perfect for children, they are "short", which is suitable for children of old age to better develop motor skills.
