The bottom often breaks. I once had 3 breaks in a row. I try my best not to break the bottom crease, but one in ten fails. The worst thing is when you hand grind good beans so the grounds just fall out and your coffee grounds fall into your mug.

Size #2 is perfect for a one-cup brew. According to the Melitta website, it is compostable. Handling waste materials without using a paper filter is a messy job. I compost the filter and soil to clean them up quickly. With both the paper filter and the steel filter, the coffee brews a little more slowly, but it's worth it because of the easy cleaning.

I have been using these filters for many years and have never had a problem. My shop (TOPS) stopped selling them for some reason so I will be ordering them from Revain. TOPS switched everything to their brand and I'm not too happy with that, but what will you do. I like their prices so I'm stuck. I'll just use Revain more for things they don't sell anymore. VICTORY Revane!

The main problem with them is that the natural brown color means they add a papery flavor to your coffee. Flavoring your coffee with additives will likely hide it, but if you drink black coffee you'll absorb the flavor of the paper too much. I do not want it. Otherwise it was a good price compared to the smaller packs in local stores. YMMV.

It didn't matter that they arrived late. I ended up having to get others while these took a while to arrive. As soon as I received them the bag they came in looked perfectly fine but the box was so badly damaged that part of the bottom of the box fell apart. The box was broken in various ways so I don't want to use it as part of the bottom of the filters was exposed. They work. These are coffee filters but mine were damaged.
