Reverse osmosis membrane filter does not fit GXRV10ABL01

The reverse osmosis membrane filter is not the same size as the original FX12M and does not fit my system. See comparison picture: On the left is the FX12M from GE and on the right this one. Will return it and have to buy OEM instead. Update: Support was nice enough to contact me. After explaining that the reverse osmosis filter did not fit my GXRV10ABL01 model, I received a refund for the reverse osmosis filter.

Water tastes like epoxy

I have had a GE reverse osmosis system for over 15 years and have always used OEM replacement filters which cost twice as much as these. I was very happy to see these compatible filters at a lower price. now i know why It's been 7 days since I installed them and I've gone through countless drain/refill cycles to get rid of the TERRIBLE taste. Suitable for my GE FX12; 1 membrane 2 carbon block system. Total dissolved solids (TDS) 65 ppm with this membrane using a TDS meter. Distilled water was tested at 0ppm, branded bottled water at 31ppm using the same TDS meter. I was expecting a lower TDS. UPDATE 6/27/2021 I was contacted by Membrane Solutions regarding my high TDS after flushing a reverse osmosis membrane. They suggested that I keep flushing the reverse osmosis membrane and the TDS would fall off. I continued to use/flush the…

Water quality worse than before

TDS in my previous filters that came with the GE filtration system was only 5-8ppm initially and eventually reached over 100ppm for over 2 years which has me prompted to buy this set as a replacement. I followed the directions, ran the water through 5 gallons, then measured again and got 140ppm. The ppm value is even significantly higher than before the filter change. What a disappointment. This is for the GE System / Model # GXRM10RBL

Standing under any sink is no fun, not to mention the complexity and size of the components (a huge storage tank and a fairly large bracket with three Filters are also extra special.) We have the GXRM10RBL model. If you don't have the big plastic "special wrench" to remove and install the filter, you'll need to run one of these b4's.
