Wow Office Electronics

Upon delivery, this legacy doorstop is only $7 less than a brand new model. While I needed a specialized scanner, not an all-in-one that sucks money out of my pocket with absurd costs for replacing printer cartridges, I also learned my lesson and won't make that mistake again.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • There Are Cons

the scanner works very well. I wish I could turn that off.

The scanner works very well. I want to turn it off so it doesn't turn on every time I turn on the computer. I just turn off the scanner so it won't turn on.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No performance

Still good for flatbed and photo scanners

I bought this scanner a long time ago (1997?). I've used it to scan old photos, wedding photos, documents, books, and pretty much anything that fits on the scanner glass. It has never disappointed me and still works after 12 years. I just upgraded my computer to Vista 64 bit and was unable to get the scanner to work because Memorex stopped updating the driver. However, eventually I found a workaround and now I have another 3-5 years with this amazing scanner.

Pros
  • Easy to use

10+ years old and still moving

God. I have upgraded my computer countless times and upgraded my monitor 3 or more times (from CRT to small LCD to large LCD) etc. This 10+ year old scanner still works and works and works. If this scanner breaks, I can update it. lol. I've had this scanner since the late 90's or early 21st century (around 1999-2001 I think. I've moved to another city 4 times in my time.) The color is ok. Scanning at 600 DPI is fine. almost always plugged in and I'm surprised the lamp inside is NOT broken yet…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Small problems
