Great hair brush. The bristles are stiff, but not too stiff. Personally I wouldn't mind them a bit more stiff, but I have grown to really like this brush. The handle is very robust also. So no concerns about it breaking in the near future.

My hair is thick, curly and wavy. I normally keep it short and most brushes are useless with my hair type. I use boar hair brushes that are stiff so it can actually get through my hair. This is an excellent hair brush. It's strong, but soft. It combs with ease, but without pain (even on a sensitive scalp) and does a great job with thick or thin hair and works with or without product in the hair. This is by far the best brush I've owned. It also does a nice job with my beard, and is light, and easy to hold. Very highly recommended.

My husband has been using a large boar's hair brush for decades, and won't consider getting a different brush. This one is lighter and smaller than his old one, but it's plenty large enough to get the job done! My husband is always using my brushes and then complaining that there are hairs of mine in them. Sigh. So I got him his own to use and he loves it. He says he can tell this is made for men with short hair. He uses it at night before bed, to loosen his hair from the products he put in in the morning. Soft bristles don't scratch his scalp, but they are firm enough to work nicely. He's happy. And I'm happy not having to share anymore.
