They are lightweight and appear well made. They hurt my heel the first time I wore them (barefooted). But I didn't break them in first. The second time I wore them I wore socks, so no problem hiking around the Myan pyramids of El Balam Mexico. I bought these for wet/dry ziplining and short jungle hikes to cenotes.

Just got these sandals this week but so far I am very impressed! They are comfortableright out of the bag and look pretty cool as well. I was going to get a pair of Keen's but then I spotted these so thought I would give them a try. They're sportier looking than Keen's which I like and have a really solid sole for hiking. These feel horrible on my feet. I should have returned them, but didn't. It feels like they're filled with corrugated cardboard. I started my sandals journey with Skechers, and slowly went cheaper. This was my limit. I got fed-up and bought some Skechers again. Will never go back. Spend the extra money and go with Skechers or something like them. Your feet will thank you.

I wanted a shoe I could use for outdoor work in the summer. It's sturdy enough, and the bottom sole is more protective than the usual close-toe sandal, which is what I wanted. My only gripe is that it did not come in my half size. Fit advice on the site said that the shoe runs a little large, so get the next lower size if you wear half sizes, but I found that it cramped my feet and toes pretty badly. These felt a little rough initially, but were okay once broken in. However, the clasp holding the shoe string is a joke. It basically loosens after taking a single step. You will need to buy your own shoe laces.

I have another type of Akita close toe sandal which I've had for about a year. They are starting to show wear and tare. These new ones are big for their size. So if you normally where (lets say) a size 11 then maybe get a size smaller.

what i did not like is the description said the sizing was exact. Thanks for attention! i use a size 9 exact but the sandal was a 9 1/2.

There’s not much to say about that product. When you wear it you know the quality and feel are sub par. Additionally the elastic lace kept loosening even tho I test wore it only for 5 mins. Poor material and not comfortable.

I've always liked sandals but hate going outside with dirt and rocks going inside them. And the worst is tripping with them and having them fall off. Luckily these sandals give you the ventilation of a regular pair but the security of a pair of shoes. They are great for daily use. My only gripe is the in soles slip out easily and it is a hassle to put them back in when I take off the sandals

I got this for my son’s trip to Belize. He said it really dug into his ankles, and caused a lot of discomfort. He still has the marks. Other than that, they held up well and look nice.
