Worked exactly as described.

There is nothing wrong with this pump. It bolted directly onto the dipstick tube and pumped a reasonable amount to quickly drain the crankcase.

Works but leaks. best parts

Bought this pump for an oil change on a Mercruiser 3.0. I twisted it as tight as I could with my hands and flowed under the dipstick and off the top of the pump. It did the job though. The oil was pumped out. Just dirtier than I expected.

Find another pump. in spare parts

Find another solution. This thing is everywhere. It is also very difficult to install on my 5.0 as the dipstick thread is very close to the alternator. But the main problem is that it flows from both ends of the pump. position

Ease of Use: Engine Parts

I used to always pay for an oil change because the local marina found it difficult to do. I decided to buy this pump and try it myself this year. Should have done this many years ago, very easy to use. Oil change in 15 minutes

Runs but leaks: Oil pumps and parts

The pump easily screws onto the dipstick tube. When I started pumping the oil it was very hard and started leaking out from under the rubber caps on each end of the pump. I was able to remove all of the oil but I was very concerned that it would fall apart completely and make a huge mess. I'll look around for a different pump before the next oil change.

So clean and simple

My experience as a technician I've had many tools that have disappointed me and made some happy. I screwed the oil separator to the dipstick hole and pumped it out. The drain hose was inserted into the container for collecting the old oil can and began to fill. Not a single drop of oil got into the hold, on the deck or anywhere else. It was flawless. I would highly recommend this to anyone working on Mercruiser sterndrives, inboards or any engine where traditional drains are impractical.

Worked very well, better than the other method I tried a week ago.

Read some mixed reviews. I went to Lowes and bought a hose clamp to attach the hose that came with the pump and an extra 10ft of hose to connect to so I could be sure the hose wasn't in the boat. I warmed up the boat for 10 minutes, screwed the pump onto the dipstick stem and easily pumped out over 3 liters of oil. It started to leak a little towards the end, but I wrapped it in fabric and there were no major problems. It comes off so I washed it with warm soapy water and some Simple Green so I
