Not bad: my rating

It's always hard to find shoes, I'm a size 5 so I mostly shop online. They're a bit big, maybe half a size, and they're not very flexible for hiking. My ankles ulcerated the first few times I wore them. you need thick socks for these shoes! I'm starting to revise my criticism, which is bad...

Pros
  • The waterproof construction keeps feet dry and comfortable in wet weather.
Cons
  • Limited availability in smaller sizes

High-quality hiking shoes for children

My daughter loves these boots, she's been using them for a while and they've held up quite well. It's Merrell so I'll be sure to buy larger ones for future use.

Pros
  • Bought these for my son. They are very comfortable for him and true to size
Cons
  • Possibly not breathable enough

Not as described in my review

I was looking for shoes without laces. This one was described as having an 'alternative closure', which to me meant the child didn't have to tie their shoelaces. I literally went back and ordered the same shoe twice due to an inaccurate description.

Pros
  • Super good and strong!!
Cons
  • Guessed the wrong size and returned for another.

Not for real hiking.

I bought them for my 7 and 5 year olds. We pack and hike. A 7-year-old walked up to 18.8 miles in a day and a 5-year-old walked up to 14 miles in a day. We go hiking in all weathers and have tried different children's hiking shoes. It's hard to find good ones for kids who really hike. My kids feet got wetter in these boots than any other boot we have tried. I cannot recommend them for many kilometers of hiking. They are comfortable and otherwise fit well. This is a great durable shoe that you…

Pros
  • Provides excellent support and stability when hiking.
Cons
  • A break-in period may be required

My son loves them based on my review.

Excellent grip, comfortable waterproof walking shoes. My son loves it and feels confident climbing and descending rocks. Fits perfectly!

Pros
  • Provides excellent grip on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • Limited wider availability

Amazing shoes! in my rating

Considering they are made for 6 year olds the quality and comfort is superb! I like them better than my own Merrills, which look the same but don't feel as fancy. My son is very picky about shoes and clothes in general and he loves it.

Pros
  • Perfect fit and my daughter claims they are "much better for hiking and more supportive". Will buy again. 🥰
Cons
  • Only one style available

Poor quality: my rating

Bad quality, used. From now on I buy shoes and clothes in shops and not at Revain. Paid 50€ for it and it's not worth it. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Very good quality and good pillow. They feel like they can handle my son.
Cons
  • May be too bulky for some customers

great boot: my review

Boots supporting Merrell's name. Aside from sending you the wrong size, they are great. They match the big brother, so it's all good. I'm not sure if you need to make sure you enter the US size or if it was a mistake, but I received the European size

Pros
  • Light and comfortable even for young hikers.
Cons
  • Limited availability in narrower widths

Great waterproof walking shoes

This is the third pair of Merrell shoes that we have bought. When our daughter outgrows them, we will replace them with the next size up. Our baby places very high demands on his feet and they should always be comfortable and dry. These little boots are perfect. As long as you don't step into the water over the toe of your boot, your feet will stay dry! We love hiking and these boots fit her perfectly. Good traction so it doesn't slip and she doesn't complain that they're uncomfortable. We've…

Pros
  • The reinforced toe box offers additional protection for young hikers.
Cons
  • Cannot withstand harsh environments

Great shoes - my new review

Great shoes. Very convenient. Had to buy laceless shoelaces for my 6 year old daughter. For young children, consider buying Scottish soybeans.

Pros
  • Quality boots, my 6 year old son loves them.
Cons
  • May not fit all foot shapes and sizes

daughter loves her

They are very cute and seem to be of great quality, my daughter wore them to school with a bruised toe that needed 'room' / wasn't snug in her shoes but we haven't had a chance to walk in them yet. They're not too heavy and clunky, and she runs fast in them. I liked the color too. What more could a seven year old want?

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Compre este par have un mes, y se gastaron muy rapido la suela es súper delgada y muy mala calidad

NOT waterproof and not waterproof :(

Super adorable but they were a big disappointment. We bought them as hiking shoes and unfortunately went hiking today and when it started to rain a little, the shoes filled up with every drop of rain and got our feet and insoles wet. We didn't buy them for puddle jumping but expected them to be able to handle light/medium rain on a hike. Nice boots. Used only in absolutely dry weather. Expected more from this brand :/

Pros
  • We've been camping all over South Dakota and my 6 year old son has never complained about being hurt or hot.
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for long-term use

Fantastic grip for hiking

Great shoes for hiking. Strong hold. Continuous. Waterproof (good for accidentally getting into swamps and streams). Machine wash and dry. Come out like new every time!

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.

Not waterproof good for me

Bought them for a week long trip to Iceland. When I wore them for the first time, my child stepped into a deep puddle and got his socks wet! What a waste of money!

Pros
  • Constructed from durable materials to withstand rough terrain.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with wide feet.

Not waterproof in my opinion

They're not even remotely waterproof. They couldn't even endure the wet grass without completely soaking my kids feet, let alone the rainy forest hikes we bought them for. I felt terrible because my feet were dry in my Columbia running shoes while all three of my kids had cold and wet feet in these 'waterproof walking shoes'.

Pros
  • Sturdy show, laces may need to be replaced before shoes.
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable in everyday life

Very good pair of shoes

Perfect fit and comfort. Bought these for my daughter while we were hiking the Quartz Peak trails and my daughter just ran all the way down the trail.

Pros
  • My kid wore them for 12 days hiking in Alaska. Didn't need a break-in period.
Cons
  • My son when he was on wet grass for 5 minutes had wet front feet and there is no way to get them back now

Best value for money in my rating

Bought for my daughter on a hike. Loved them, the durability was excellent, even got stuck in a few showers and their feet were never wet. Merrell is a cool brand, prices were cheaper compared to Revain!

Pros
  • The perfect shoe for kids to hike and the price is perfect as they outgrow them anyway.
Cons
  • This shoe is not waterproof. My child walked on the grass covered with dewdrops and his socks were soaked for minutes.

Looks good, bad quality.

I bought it for my daughter. When you put them on for the first time, the first puddle completely soaked your shoes. But my biggest concern is the speedometer. When I dried the shoes it increased the speedometer which is not very good which I didn't expect from Merrell shoes. There is a cardboard soleplate under the speedometer which makes it very difficult to dry and impossible to wash. I am extremely disappointed.

Pros
  • Stylish design will appeal to both children and parents.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for running

Standing my judgment: my review

Great walking shoes for kids. And if you're hesitant to pay for shoes he or she will outgrow in a few months, send them to school in them like I did to make your money worth it.

Pros
  • I bought these shoes for my granddaughter. They're durable and really helped her keep loose materials on the trail.
Cons
  • The unisex design may not appeal to all buyers

Wrong colour. twice.

They fit. But I bought what looks like gray-orange in the picture but I got purple-pink. My son asked me to try again with gray and orange. So I asked for an exchange. This has been approved. So I put on the second pair of shoes. And they were the same color as the first ones. Even though my son is in the military and says he can wear them, he's a kid and kids are cruel. So I personally go to get the boots that he really likes.

Pros
  • Ideal for short and long hikes.
Cons
  • Limited availability in half sizes
