Great Splint/Brace - Braces, Splints & Supports

This is a great splint/brace. I am an RN and can comfortably work 8-12 hours with this brace. It doesn't dig into my skin anywhere and my broken fingers stay protected and comfortable all the time. Also great quality. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some small things

Size M Fracture of the fifth metacarpal

My podiatrist didn't even know about this splint. I was suggested to use a wrist splint which gave my fingers freedom but I refused to wear it because of the pain. I have a large thin female arm/tiny wrist. I could have dealt with the larger size. I bent the metal on my fingers as instructed by the doctor and on my wrist to make it more comfortable. I was very happy with this tire.

  • Alright!

I liked it so much that I bought two

. The best tire I have found. However, this is not very convenient, since the edges of the Velcro are sharp and not sewn around the edges. Notably, there's an internal Velcro strap on the wrist that digs inward. My wrist is quite small, and yet I have to pull it all the way, which is too tight to untie the Velcro from my skin. A 1/2 inch larger piece of felt on the wrist will fix this.

Game Rules Changes to Hand and Wrist Orthotics

I went to the ER for an X-ray and got a bright splint. I still have to make a living and the tire is preventing me from doing that. These braces were a game changer. Also, it was a lot cheaper than the skinny tire they gave me. Just make sure you bend the metal at the right angle and you're good to go. I definitely recommend it. If you have the option not to work with a broken arm, do so.

  • One-year probationary period

Much better than a plaster cast

I chose the Ulner channel splint for the fifth metatarsal fracture and not a plaster cast. I can take off the orthosis to take a shower. That's a lot better than covering the hard cast with a plastic bag and not being able to wash your hand. The bandage fits, is comfortable and is the best option for my injury. The metal bar inside is adjustable so you can position your fingers in a relaxed position. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Out of fashion

healed! in Braces, Splints & Supports

I removed my cast early (broken pinkie metacarpal) and put this splint in place and after 5 weeks my arm was fine. It's much better than a cast because I could take it off before showering and wash my hands in between. Also more comfortable and less heavy. I am a small woman and the medium size was just right. I also accidentally ordered a small one and it seems too big for a 10 year old. If it's too small, it's just not comfortable.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

  • Nothing

I don't always break through doors, but when I do I do.

I have a fractured fifth metacarpal. My doctor put me in a cast for 2 weeks and then gave me a splint. This product is way better than both. I could have used that instead of plaster from the start. I bought this because it's my doctor's CUSTOM molded splint. not made comfortable and does not protect the hand like this product. I highly recommended this. (Note: I am not a medical professional, please see your doctor for treatment. Do not treat your own tear, tell your doctor about it.)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

I broke my little finger at work so I put a splint on it and taped it to my ring finger. It worked really well as long as I didn't have to use that hand. Repeatedly grabbing two fingers on things with my right hand resulted in more tears than I care to admit. The splint immediately corrected this problem by protecting the fingers, and as a bonus, it prevented them from unconsciously flexing them at the large joint (sometimes this is painful too). I'm no tire expert but the quality seems…

  • Price for a piggy bank

Positively surprised, the quality is excellent, everything works.

Great tire. I broke my fifth metacarpal and the podiatrist said I could get away with a splint instead of a hard cast. I followed the measurements for sizing and determined I'm medium by measuring my palm. I have medium sized male hands and wear a size 8 glove which is an average size for males so I went for a medium size and found that it fit perfectly with plenty of room to adjust. The product arrived and I took it to an orthopedic appointment. The doctor said that if he had to use it, that's
