Doesn't work - antennas

Connected according to the instructions, the reception is miserable, as if the radio didn't even have an antenna. Connecting to the power supply actually only makes the situation worse. save your money

Pros
  • Super price
Cons
  • No insurance

Works as advertised

My factory antenna connector on the windshield has come loose and lost AM. Not available at local WalMart, although they advertise it. This antenna is almost invisible behind my mirror and easy to install. Now AM/FM is like new.

I don't like it on Car & Vehicle Electronics

This antenna does not work, I recommend everyone to buy a conventional antenna, no matter what problem it brings to the appearance of the car. That reinforced thin windshield or Metra 44UA205 glass mount antenna is just useless.

Don't waste your time!

I tried this antenna on my truck and it didn't pick up the stations very well and when I connected the amplifier to the power supply even the strong stations disappeared. I don't understand why this is even being sold. An old rusty hanger will do better. I give this antenna ZERO stars!

Better than nothing?

Bought for a 1992 Mercedes 500SL. Catches all transmitters once in a while, but can't hold them for long. We live about 20 miles from New York, so signal strength doesn't matter. I listen to the iPod anyway, but my wife loves the radio, so that's a problem. The installer said it could be the windshield cover, but our EZ Pass works great. I don't think I would buy this again.

Everything ok, picks up a few stations ok

This antenna is very picky about the installation location, quite clumsy, therefore not so easy to set up. It fitted perfectly on the outside of the car but didn't stand up to the weather conditions. There was nothing but hiss under my dash, cable length is just long enough to go over your visors where reception is fine, now you get 75% more channels but only a quarter of them are crystal clear. Although for $15 what do you expect?

TERRIBLE RECEPTION. A PIECE OF TRASH!

TERRIBLE reception. I needed to replace the built in AM/FM tuner and antenna in the rear roof of my Volvo XC90 to install an aftermarket stereo system and figured this would solve my problem. WHAT hums. I tried using the windshield all the way up for tinting - NOTHING HAPPENS. It is also properly powered and grounded. In fact, it works better when the power is off. If there are cables near him or EZ-PASS, they will interfere as well. In order to get any stations, I literally had to mount the…
