This mic looks weird yes but does it work yes. We were very surprised in the studio how well this works for the price. If you need a mic for gaming or maybe voice acting and aren't on a big budget, this is a must have.

I used this to teach 7th grade and staff meetings on Zoom when distance learning started. Works very well. Children and colleagues hear me very clearly. I ended up recommending it to several other teachers during the meeting who said it had excellent sound quality and clarity. It also has a nice long cord. I was originally going to use the Bluetooth model but then I read that they cause connection issues and can stutter at times so I went with this model instead and am very satisfied.

I am learning how to use speech recognition on my computer. I bought this mic and thought the cord length was great, the mic sits well on my computer desk and I love the mute button. My son really liked this microphone. He used it with his laptop while playing with friends. He never complained about it until one day it just stopped working! He had it for 10-11 months before it started to fail. If you plug it into a USB port, it will no longer connect, so the mic won't turn on or, more importantly, stay on.
