Description of 🔪 Efficient Kitchen Tool: Microplane Premium Classic Series Zester Grater in Sleek Black Finish

Zest Citrus: The blade is designed with a specific tooth set that takes the flavorful rind directly off the citrus fruit, while leaving behind the bitter white pith. Zest adds flavor to vinaigrettes, stir fries, salads, and baked goods! Change your life, with a little zest!. Grate Cheese: Grate parmesan into fluffy mounds that melt quickly and look beautiful when treating yourself of family to rustic bowls of pasta. Sprinkle fresh parmesan over eggs, salads, or any dish for a burst of flavor. Grate other hard cheeses like Asiago, Pecorino and Padano. So Many USES: grate ginger and garlic into a minced pastes to flavor many popular foods. Create ground spices from whole hard cinnamon or nutmeg. Use to shave a cork down to fit back into a bottle - even scrape off burnt or dark spots from cookies, scones, and toast. The possibilities are endless. Ultra Sharp Made in USA blades: Microplane uses photo-etched technology to make ultra sharp grating blades right here in America! Made of surgical grade stainless steel this material stays rust-free and maintains sharpness over time. True stainless steel is magnetic, so this item can be hung on your magnetic knife strip. Non-scratch end tabs help protect counter tops. Dishwasher Safe: The tool is easy to clean, simply rinse immediately after use. Use a kitchen brush on the underside of the blade to clean out tough to reach particles. The zester/grater can also be placed in the dishwasher.

Unusable, most likely a fake

I bought a Microplane many years ago and I really liked it. I told my mom about it and then bought her the exact same product. She told me she didn't rub anything. When I tried it I saw that the teeth are completely flat and therefore unusable and it is very easy to bend them. I suspect it must be a counterfeit product. The plastic cap on her blade was different than mine and instead of "Made in USA" printed on the blade like mine and the picture on the website says, her blade says "Stainless…

Cooks Illustrated Recommended

I belong to Cooks Illustrated online and always check their product reviews before I buy ANYTHING for my kitchen. I used to have micro planes, I donate them too. Every house should have one or two. It's the one Cook's Illustrated Buy Winner suggested, so it's working for me. Be sure to keep a hard plastic sleeve on it or it may bend in the dish drawer and eventually break - but sometimes other people in my kitchen didn't get that note. Wash it immediately after use, do not put anything else on…

Beware of sharp cutting edges!

Large microplane, very sharp. I love the little rubberized "feet" on the bottom that eliminate the possibility of scratching the surface you place it on to rub. Copes quickly with hard cheese and zest. We love freshly grated asiago, not homemade pasta, so this little beauty is often on the table. However, a small blemish prevents me from giving five stars. When I used it to grate lime zest today, like so many other things, it pooled on the underside of the zest. Without expecting any trouble, I

Ideal "grid " kitchen tool!

This is a review of the Microplane 46220 Premium Zester/Gratter, Turquoise from Microplane. It's easy to settle for an old zester or keep using the boring old one, especially when you're not using it. very often. what could be the difference But I'm a firm believer that the better the tool, the more you're likely to use it, and this Microplane 46220 is for you. This will probably be the last Cester I will ever have to buy. It is well made from surgical grade stainless steel, dishwasher safe and

Worth it for a while

Before I used the Microplane, I only used cheap graters that you could find at places like TJ Maxx for a few bucks. So I was reluctant to spend more than $10 on a grater. After my previous grater broke I decided to pull the trigger and give this item a try. The packaging was neat and the shipping was quick as expected. The first time I used it, I used a Parmigiano Reggiano wedge to garnish a tomato soup I was making. I still remember the first rust. Smooth, ample and effortless. That might seem

The spice, all the spice and nothing but the spice!

Citrus Peel: A great tool for adding fresh citrus essence to your recipes without any noticeable texture. I've used it on lemons, limes, and oranges. The sharp micro-blades glide gently over the fruit, removing only the thinnest outer layer of skin where flavor is best, leaving behind the deeper, bitter part of the skin. I love it like a highlight! Grating cheese: Grating hard cheese like Parmesan creates a fine, soft, fluffy mountain of cheese that melts quickly on hot food. For this reason I…
