Failed in less than 6 months!

I fitted this to a Whirlpool cooker hood (microwave) and was initially very happy with it but both bulbs failed after about 5 months of occasional use. Obviously there is a quality control issue as a good LED should last for many years.

This extends the life of the lamps

Always unplug the microwave before changing the light bulb. According to my conversation with the company, the lamps only lasted about a day. Since I unplugged the light prior to replacing it, I had no issues with blown bulbs for several days. Second, don't touch the bulb with your bare fingers, use a paper towel or napkin. Oil on skin may shorten lamp life.

In the Whirpool WMH31017AW-4 microwave model, the lamp is always on in the LOW position, ie 24 hours!

These LED bulbs should be manufacturer part number 8206232A 40W but they appear to be for microwave use with 4 light levels (high, medium, low and off). I have an older model Whirpool WMH31017AW-4 that only has 3 settings (high, low and off) so the low light for these LED bulbs is always on, I mean 24 hours a day! Bright light, cold temperature, low power consumption.

I despised the ordinary lightbulbs that sat over the stove in our microwave. When one died I decided to replace them both and get rid of lightbulbs! These LED lights are SUPER bright and make stovetop cooking so much more enjoyable. The only downside is that I'm a photographer by profession and I deal a lot with different color temperatures. Brighter above the hob. Exactly what we wanted.

These bulbs did EXACTLY what my wife wanted them to do: light up the hob so she could see when she was cooking on the stove. The original bulbs in our Samsung mic were dim (high) and dimmer (low). Now she can easily see what's cooking on the stove and she loves those lightbulbs. Flickers at low brightness

Easy to install. Fits great. Works well in bright light. Dims when turned off (I mention this because other reviews have had issues with it when used). My only problem is the low brightness: it flickers. It's just on the verge of visibility. I personally see that something is wrong, but for me it's not an obvious problem. My wife and son can see the flickering clearly and it is very annoying to them and they turn it off immediately if I leave the light on low brightness. The product description

EDIT: The lightbulb stopped working after a few months. I replaced it with another one from Deuce and after a month when it's on it's incredibly dark. You are now completely useless. DO NOT BUY. I bought this in the hope that it would be brighter than the traditional bulb previously installed in our microwave countertop light. It *may* be a little brighter than the old lamp, but not much.
