Good emergency radio

My favorites for a good emergency radio are digital station search, handle, USB and battery operation, FM/AM/NOAA, battery indicator, alarm functions, earplugs. Connection for personal listening - battery capacity to charge your smartphone (at least 2000 mAh) This radio has everything on my wish list. This Midland ER310 does not technically have a memory settings function. However, there is a button that quickly toggles between NOAA, FM and AM. Until the battery dies it stays on each of theโ€ฆ

Very useful after Hurricane Irma

I bought a Midland er-210 weather radio in April and had to use it when my power went out after Hurricane Irma. I have no complaints. Before the storm, I fully charged the er-210 with a USB cable so it was ready to go when needed. Since it was already charged before the storm hit land, it lasted all the time I needed without charging. It worked great for listening to local AM and FM radio as well as NOAA weather radio. I've tried the weather alert mode, which sets off an alarm when severeโ€ฆ

Ok ER with patented 18650 battery

This is a normal emergency radio if you don't try to use it as a normal radio. Pros: - Good build quality - Flash brightness is good. - Worthy reception. Cons: - Uses a standard 18650 battery BUT WITH BRAND terminals so you have to buy their battery! Very bad - radio stations cannot be saved. A major inconvenience when trying to use it like a regular radio. - The sound quality is just about acceptable. - Not very stable stand. I also tried the Sangean MMR-88 emergency radio. In comparison, this

Didn't even turn on!

I bought 2 of these just after Hurricane Irma as I thought it would be nice to be better prepared for the next storm. I read the user manual from start to finish before attempting to charge the first device. I charged it with the USB cable and the radio showed a full charge. I took exactly as much time as stated in the instructions. After a full charge, it didn't turn on at all! I thought they might have sent me a tune so I charged the second the same way and again showed a full charge. I tried

Comes with a 5 year old battery

I've spent some time researching emergency radios and for a variety of reasons I decided to go with this. First because the batteries could be easily removed. Why was that important to me? Because most emergency radios have a simple light switch (like this one), but the problem is that if you throw it in your emergency bag, that light switch can be hit very easily while you're moving around in the bag. and will drain your battery very quickly without you even knowing it. So what I'm going to do

Overall a great purchase. I kept refilling.

All in all a great purchase. I keep reading the descriptions and reviews of the supplement to my emergency kit. I've had a Realistic DX-440 for years, but I wanted one with an alternative power supply. (DX-440 requires 6 D cells + 2 AA cells). precisely. The buttons are spaced apart and large enough to be easily operated. The display is readable and illuminated 5 seconds after the button is pressed, always off or always on. The battery level indicator flashes when charging either from theโ€ฆ

Great device even if it's not an emergency

After the recent crazy storms as well as ridiculous power outages that no one seemed to want to fix before the court order, I decided to up my game and get some better prepared. This radio is just a small step in my planning, but it's pretty cool. An emergency radio is only good if it works when you really need it. And that's the beauty of it - this radio is very useful even when there are no emergencies in sight. First, it's a rechargeable LED flashlight. It's bright, and since it's an LEDโ€ฆ
