Think twice before buying - product is disgusting.

In general, this jar of sprats went for recycling. In its place was a router from a well-known island Chinese company, which immediately started working without a hint of whims and childhood illnesses.

Pros
  • Failed to feel
Cons
  • Shortcomings began to be felt immediately after unpacking: an instruction with an unreadable font of 4-5 points. The sprats sneer. Further - more interesting, when you click on the qr-code, it is not the necessary manual that is loaded, but the general page of the company's technical support. And what is especially wonderful - there was no necessary model there (surprise - the name of the model on the box and on the website are different). It was a prelude, then action. The router got up, the setup page loaded. But when changing the network ip, the router (as happens with no name Chinese) disappeared and stopped showing signs of life. And then the climax - I came across a broken version of the router, which did not respond to the reset key. It was the final. I note that this router with a horse price tag for its qualities has a nominal speed of 100 megabits.

if there is a desire, then you can get worn out and make a detailed setting - see how they set it up on YouTube or somewhere else. , it will probably work even better, but it suits me without it. ) Has some pros: compactness, design, works without problems at standard settings. Some cons: not a simple setup. , initially you need a program to configure it, you can’t download it without an Internet, so you need to take care of it in advance.

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

I needed a router without wi-fi. advised it-shnik from work. Before that, I had not come across this brand (apparently not the mass market for dummies, which I am). Many people write about the complexity of the settings, but out of the box the piece of iron was configured by default = plugged in the Internet and it all worked. I myself am a teapot in network affairs and asked the Mikrotik specialist to check the settings, he said - everything is super, nothing needs to be changed. No freezes…

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

After a year of use, it began to periodically fail and limit the speed to 10 mb / s (this was corrected when the router was rebooted). Before buying, I had a tplink for 300, which served me for 2 years and broke. I then thought maybe I could take something more reliable, but alas, their stuffing is stamped at a Chinese factory. At the time of purchase, I could take pieces of 3 TP links and change them one by one.

Pros
  • Design, size
Cons
  • Price, setup and reliability.

Good price and versatility

This small but very versatile router offers a tremendous amount of customization. I bought it specifically for creating multiple VLANs and I have to admit I thought it would be easier. But I didn't have much in-depth knowledge of how to program the router for more advanced tasks and didn't have time to learn it, so I hired someone over the internet to do it for me remotely. It works great and I am very happy with this little router.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Upgrades available

This router appears to have as many features as a similar one.

This router seems to have as many features as similar routers that cost hundreds of times more than this one. With this thing I can set up IPSec VPN tunnels. It can generate traffic for testing purposes. You can insert PCAP recordings and they will be transmitted to your network. You can change the MTU of all interfaces. He can send text messages. I didn't even know it was possible. It can perform some security tests - ping flood, half IP address scan. He can send emails. I have yet to figure…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I'll add later

Diamond in the Rough

This is a wired router. It doesn't project WiFi; You must use an Ethernet cable to connect. If you need WiFi, it's best to find another router like RB952Ui-5ac2nD or RB941-2nD-TC. To be honest I don't understand how they keep the price so low. I've spent some time researching routers and this was the best deal I could find in the long run. I was skeptical at first, but it really is as good as everyone says. This little thing can do almost anything you want, plus 100 more things. You don't have…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Approx.

It has all the options you could want except saving settings. Is it really that much to ask not to switch from bridge to router? If the device had stayed in bridge mode I would have given it 5 stars. Update: Upgrading to RC fixed my issues. Upgrade from 3 to 4 stars. Equally nice and annoying is that a DHCP relay also needs to be configured (even the easy mode in the RC release doesn't do that for you). The detection of not being able to install updates offline via the UI is among other quirks,

  • Durable finish

Great cheap router for techies

This is a really great product for the price, but it should be noted that it's PoE only in the sense that it can be powered over an Ethernet connection; If I'm not missing anything, it doesn't seem to power any other device via PoE. RouterOS (an embedded operating system) offers many of the features of a much more expensive product for those knowledgeable about networking, and is configured from the command line (via ssh) or a surprisingly good web interface.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Looks

This is a great little wired ethernet router. However, skip it if you are not familiar with networks or have an admin friend who can help you. I bought it to replace an old Pentium 4 (yes, P4) running its own Linux firewall distribution. The old machine had a hardware failure so I need something makeshift to replace it. I already use a Mikrotik wireless hotspot so I think for the price it's a win-win. In a word, it's reliable, it works and I don't plan to change it. It only has 10/100 wired…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Almost never
