Milescraft Inc 8403 Laminate Trimmer Review

I'm a typical homeowner and I built a small closet around the laundry tub in the garage. I bought laminate for a countertop and use this cutter to trim the edges. It did the perfect job, but I was slow and methodical with the cutting. I think a person with little patience might struggle as a perfect cut requires concentrated slow motion. I am happy with this purchase.

I definitely recommend practicing before trying it on a finished job. It's easy to run it along the edge of the edging strip rather than cutting it flush, and it can be pressed hard (or at an angle) and gouge the wood surface a bit. But with a little practice you can get a good finish that only needs a little sanding or sanding in a few places.

I was hesitant to buy this item because it is cheap and some of the reviews were pretty bad. But I was about to start a project of cladding a whole set of cherry wood kitchen cabinets and I decided I had nothing to lose at the price. I have now used it to complete a project along with projects that used oak veneer and white laminate. Now I can say that the tool is excellent.
