Quiet, smooth and efficient. Ideal for low ceilings

Quiet and efficient. We chose to use Minka Aire instead of nearly identical fans from other popular brands. We actually replaced a Hampton Bay fan that looked the same but was noisy and had warped blades. There is no lighting kit and this is the smallest fan for a 7ft ceiling. We placed it in our conservatory with the ceiling slightly pitched and it's still quiet after running 24/7 for a month.

Pros
  • LAMP: Lighting kit not included. This fan is included in the Light Kit, compatible with Minka Aire Universal Light Kits sold separately
Cons
  • Something else

My thoughts on this fan

puff), no space on top to hide cables after connection. However, my biggest complaint is how loud this thing is! I turned it on and the motor is so loud. If I had bought it locally at Home Depot or something I would just return it. However, I really don't want to take it off, pack it up and send it back, so I have to deal with this bomber-sounding B52 ceiling fan.

Pros
  • CONSTRUCTION: Minka-Aire Mesa indoor ceiling fan is white with five white blades
Cons
  • empty

The chain broke INSIDE the switch.

I like the fan and it works well BUT the circuit is open in the switch and the switch/circuit cannot be repaired. Although the switch itself can be replaced, it is difficult to handle. This was installed in less than 2 years. The irony is I just bought another one (for another room) which arrived a few days ago. Now I'm wondering if I should leave it. Our last fan (of another brand) lasted over fifteen or twenty years before wearing out.

Pros
  • OPTIONAL: Optional compatible WC105-WH wall control, sold separately
Cons
  • is embarrassing

I agree it's cool but the instructions are terrible.

I don't want to repeat many 5 star reviews. It's quiet, the blades are painted with hard smooth paint and you think it's plastic when I think it's MDF board and it's so quiet you can't even tell it's on. A few things to keep in mind. These instructions are awful, full of typos, and in some cases even wrong. For example, it tells you to toggle the switch left and right for summer and winter, but the switch moves up and down! I bought a wall switch and it's odd that they don't have instructions…

Pros
  • ENGINE: Pleasantly quiet 3-speed chain-driven reversible engine. Work summer and winter to circulate air and save on energy bills.
Cons
  • Doubtful
