It's not big enough to carry anything other than water, I got tired of tucking a beach towel in and it didn't fit. But an ordinary small bath towel is fine. I have traveled to several places (Hualapai Mountains, Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon) and this little backpack served what I needed very well.
