    looks good physically but unfortunately didn't work

    The cable itself looks physically well made, but it failed where it counted. Plugged into my laptop, received a signal, connected the radio but the cable refused to transmit/receive. It was advertised as plug and play but it is not. My Lenovo is running the latest version of Windows, so I'm not missing anything. I did some research and found forum posts saying I might be missing a driver for the ftdi chip. Didn't want to mess around with my laptop much, recently bought it for 2k and didn't want

    Works partially. Yaesu plug unusable

    I bought this kit because I needed to maintain frequencies on three of my radios: Yaesu FT50R, FT60R and Baofeng UV-S9PLUS. Windows 10 recognized it immediately and configured it without any problems; I could connect to Baofeng and read/write data; but when I tried to connect to the Yaesu radios, I couldn't. I tried different software and none could communicate with the radios, the radio always showed an error. get a ready answer to follow the "general instructions" before. <-- doesn't help…

    Had the same problem as the previous reviewer. None of the connection cables work. I couldn't get it to work with my BTECH UV-25X2 or UV-5R. The official Baofeng cable works with my UV-5R. I, since the UV-25X2 only uses a standard headphone cable, I just plugged the aux cable into the radio and USB cable and it worked (thanks to a previous reviewer for the tip!). The USB cable works, but neither the UV-5R nor UV-25X2 attachments work. Avoiding one star due to the fact that I was at least lucky…

    Good cable but not easy plug and play.

    FTDI driver installed but it took several Windows 10 driver updates before Windows provided it with a communication port. The only radio I have that requires this cable is the Kenwood TH-F6. I have a Baeofang RD-5R and an Anytone 868UV - both radios have built in chips so they won't work with this cable. I also have an Icom 5100 which requires an external COM port but I have not tried this cable with it. The TH-F6 requires a communications port outside of the radio, so it works great. The cable
