🏎️ Mishimoto MMRT-MUS-15E Expansion Tank Review - Compatible with Ford Mustang EcoBoost V6 V8 2015-2018 Silver Review

Very good work, large amount of coolant compared to the original factory product. A problem, although the holes for the mounting bolts are lengthened, causing the tank to sag a bit. I installed a small washer and each of the two elongated slots that allow the tank to sit at a much better angle when tightening the bolts.

Purchase decision and installation in my 2018 Mustang EcoBoost. I didn't really like the plastic "bubble" tank. I decided to order this tank from Mishimoto and I love how it looks and fits in my engine bay. I can't tell you if this improved performance as I only bought it for looks.

Cover installation problem is real! I had to twist it with pliers. I am an engineer. This is a thread design flaw and they still sell it. You can't know either. That one detail ruins a fantastic looking product. I can't remove the cap if I have to without a couple of plumber's locks. That's not normal.

It took about 30 minutes to install. And is of great importance to the asthenics engine, which I only regret. I wish I had done that before. Even for those who have a supercharger on a gt350 and are looking at it, it just fits. I had to tie the top hose down to keep it from hitting the pulley, but it will fit, it's slightly larger than the factory reservoir.

Well, unfortunately I didn't read the reviews and installed it today. Looks great and it would be great if the gas cap was screwed on. There is a specific issue with the thread pattern on this machine and I have requested a refund. What a pain to reinstall the old device. Unsatisfied. I'll report on the reset process, but now it's a matter of installing the old one that works.

Purchased to replace the Steeda coolant tank on my 2016 Mustang GT. Nothing is broken on the Steeda tank but the reason I wanted to upgrade to a Mishimoto tank is because the Mishimoto tank has a sight glass so unlike the Steeda tank you can see and see which one is on Where your coolant is. I don't know who designed Steed's tanks, but they should be fired for the simplest oversight. Mishimoto, on the other hand, gets it right.

I was a bit concerned based on the reviews of the cap and bought it for the GT350 but after noticing the Mustang GT uses the same 21psi cap I decided to try it. After receiving this and facing the same tight lid issue that everyone else mentions in these reviews, I considered sending it back, but I'm very glad I didn't. It fits the cap just as snugly as the original Ford coolant reservoir, but I found a little trick that made my job a lot easier. My guess is that the inner plastic part of this…

The reason is only three stars. First let me say that the tank looks great and does what I wanted which was to decorate the engine bay. The factory expansion tank is a real thorn in the side, Ford should have thought better about it. I opened the box and looked for installation instructions. IT WAS NONE! I found an installation video on the internet and watched it. It's not that difficult, it took about 45 minutes to install. The factory clamps suck and I'm glad they put the worm gear clamps in
