🚙 Mishimoto Chevrolet/GMC Duramax 6.6 LBZ/LMM 2006-2010 Silver Transmission Cooler (MMTC-DMAX-06SL) Review

Cooled my unloaded transformers over 30 degrees. The hardest part was removing the GMC grille. Rubber hoses with adapters are worthless. But they fit and work perfectly.

wow sure i got this ½ with the box open and like new everything is perfectly wrapped in plastic! Definitely worth saving $200! And I see that 37 degrees down my 2007 Duramax 3500 (LBZ) is worth it!

Significant drop in transmission temperature, towing a toy dump truck in 95 degree heat in the mountains and never accelerating to 100 degrees above ambient air, almost perfect but I was missing a transmission hose and had to use hydraulic 5/8. Hiring somewhere else because I was in a hurry, I'm sure they would take care of it. Very beautiful

2010 GMC Sierra 2500 6.6 with Allison 6 speed Definitely one of the biggest transcoolers out there. Installation was so easy using existing holes, it fit perfectly and was solid in its home. I'll update when I've worked for a while and see how it cools down. I did a fluid change using TranSynd and an external PSA filter. All servicing required 2.5 gallons of fluid with a large radiator and filter.

The cooler itself is slightly wider and thicker than the standard. This kit incorporates the Mishimotos radiator and rotates it in front of the common radiator for better airflow. I bought this because I have an aftermarket bumper that covers the original and my temps have not risen above 154 Fahrenheit on 97 degree days. This cool box was advertised as a "direct replacement" but clearly it is not! It is mounted elsewhere in front of the radiator and has no threaded connections for the cooling lines. You should use rubber tubing to connect the cooling lines and ditch the cheap clamps. I bought better quality wider hose clamps hoping they would prevent leaks. I was hoping the connection kit would connect directly and securely to the original lines. At the first sign of a leak I will throw this cooler away and…
