Fits the 1993–2004 Volkswagen Golf/Jetta/Passat VR6. Lower activation temp allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier. Maintains lower temperatures and extends engine life. Mishimoto Activation: 160°F (71°C) / OEM Activation: 176°F (80°C).

Improved engine performance with new thermostat

As AN automotive enthusiast I recently purchased a new thermostat for my Volkswagen and was blown away by the results. As a result of using this product, I found that my engine temperature stayed consistent and my car performed much better overall .the Mishimoto MMTS VR6 93L Volkswagen Thermostat is a great addition to any performance car. The only downside is that installation can be a bit tricky if you`re not experienced with engine cooling systems. Overall, I highly recommend this product to

Poor Quality Thermostat: Caution!

My analysis of this product showed that it must be nothing more than a knockoff or a mere imitation .Not only did it fail to work but also damaged my vehicle. The price is the only good thing to consider..

Perfect fit for 2000 VW GTI GLX

First impressions, I recently replaced the factory thermostat on the 2000 VW Golf VR6 as a precaution that I bought. I'm not exactly sure what makes this thermostat "run" but I can say it's solidly built. It has the same opening temperature as the replacement factory thermostat. Although the price seems quite high compared to other thermostats you can buy, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if the need arises.
