Ephemeral calibration squeaks

I used to order several calibrated Mitutoyo tools from Revain and was disappointed with this extremely expensive caliper: the $200 calibration expires in a few months (should be at least 1 year hold) and the jaws squeak quite violently as they move back and forth. So I have to send them in for calibration and lubrication immediately. It's low quality and I suspect Mitutoyo wouldn't want it presented that way. My other Mitutoyo tools arrived in perfect condition with lengthy calibrations. Please
