Best I've used in my Lutherie shop in a while.

The best I have used in my Lutheran workshop in the last 40 years. I operate high-precision woodworking as well as machining and tool making. These are simply the best!

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Be careful with certificates

I bought a NIST certified caliper, but the certificate is valid until October (only 4 months!). The caliper is fine, but I find the offer of the NIST tracking certificate almost deceptive.

Pros
  • Dimensions
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

money well spent. Vernier Calipers

I bought my first 12" Mitutoyo Vernier Caliper over 20 years ago and have not hesitated to buy one of their products again. I have never trusted the digital calipers I have used in the past. but I gave them and shot them and I'm very satisfied. They don't have a sprocket that can jump with its teeth and throw it off. There is no zero button because electromagnetic energy is used to measure the distance between the jaws. Great product .

Pros
  • Digital Vernier Calipers
Cons
  • No Power
