Mizuno Wave Sky 2 Women's Running Shoe Review

These shoes are very comfortable for me. I wear tennis shoes half a size larger than other shoes. At the same time, there is enough space in the toe area. I did a lot of research before purchasing these shoes to ensure they offered good neutral/soft support and heel to toe the correct fit for me (10mm). They are good for that. I like the light color too. If you can get all of this without spending $120 or more, you're getting a lot.

Nice shoes. Being a Mizuno it seemed well made and sturdy, but unfortunately it squeezed the life out of my legs. I know you would expect stiffness and tightness from the new shoes, but this shoe felt like a vise and in odd places. I couldn't take these shoes off fast enough. Luckily Revain still had the Wave Sky 1 in stock and I bought it instead. I don't know what happened between Wave Sky 1 and Wave Sky 2, but the difference in fit and design is painfully obvious.

I bought this because I really liked my first version. I have skinny legs with a high instep. I always order sneakers one size larger. With version 2 I had to order 1.5 sizes larger. First I tried my regular Mizuno size and my toes were pressed against the front. The cushioning on this version feels stiffer (I like my old ones better). These are my first pair of Mizuno running shoes and I LOVE them. It's like walking on foam. Very soft and comfortable. I ordered size 8.5 and it is perfect. In the toe box I'm ALMOST as wide as my big toe, which is good because it doesn't allow my feet to move forward. So far there are no holes on the back of the heels and toes. I used to run long distances, but I took a leave of absence because of children. Anyway, I'm making progress again and have had to increase my height since my legs have grown with pregnancy.
