Worked well but the brush holder didn't fit the synthetic Simpson T3 which I knew wasn't worth buying. The material it's made of is surprisingly tough. I was able to create a good lather in the bowl and for those with non-synthetic brushes you can place the brush on the stand while showering and then create a good lather in the bottom bowl. loved my purchase!

I find the shaving bowl to be a nice accessory. I especially like the fact that the bottom bowl (which holds the soap) has a hole wide enough for you to load the shaving brush without banging it against the sides of the bowl. At first I was concerned that without the protrusions in the foam shell the foaming process would be slow. These fears were unfounded. The shell is not smooth like hard plastic, it has nice texture. If you lather your shaving soaps or creams, try using a shaving bowl.
