Description of Moeller Separating Filter Mercury Universal

Fuel filter for long-water Mercury/Universal/Yamaha outboard motors. Traps the smallest particles and emulsified water from gasoline. Filter heads offer 3/8 NPT ports resulting in high performance for your engine. Stainless steel, powder-coated, and plastic filter head with excellent salt-water corrosion resistance. Filtration media will not separate two-cycle oil from gasoline.

It's just a filter: Boat

This is a regular spin-on filter, it doesn't really have a bowl on the bottom to see or drain the water but The same brand makes one with a bowl. So it works, what speaks for it.

Direct replacement for my boat

Works like a charm. Remember to lubricate the rubber seal with some oil to make it easier to replace next time. I had an insane amount of time to shoot the original in just one season. I doubt they covered the gasket.

Better take one of these!

I bought an old boat with an internal gas tank. I couldn't remove all the old stagnant gas. He was in prison for 7 years. So I bought this filter to clean the remaining fuel. Then I changed the filter after a few tanks of spent fuel! Worked great!

Protects against fuel system problems

This filter protects your boat or RV from dirt in the gasoline, tank or on the highway. It separates water and dirt from the gas, preventing the carburetor from clogging. This model is not suitable for diesel. I always empty mine to see what junk she has separated. Worth the investment.
