I tried to buy something similar at a hardware store. great lord This is installed flush with the door using a concealed screw plate, then a hook is fitted over it. Much better quality and not much more expensive. Use as a coat hook on a hollow door. Of course, the right equipment is crucial. I bought special fastening material for hollow doors.

This is meant to be a coat hook that would normally mount to a bathroom door but instead of 4 short screws for 4 mounting holes there are two 1 1/4" screws for fasteners to drywall or a wooden post and nothing to attach it to a door, which is the most likely place you'll put them in. Moen has now joined the once great companies that now manufacture everything in China.

These hooks are incredibly easy to install. In the worst case 6 minutes, including tool collection. This includes drilling two 5/16" holes if not mounting into a stud. And you do NOT need a hairpin with them. Drill, insert the supplied dowels and mount. You don't even have to be at 100% as the design allows for adjustments as you set the last piece. Moen took care of it. I have 4 installed now. One as a towel rail and three towel rails. All round perfect.

Ideal for towels, even thick and heavy. Much better than towel rails. They look good but we never see them because they are covered with a towel. We have 5 and I am thinking of buying 2 more as I like to hang my shower cap and hair towel separately - the good thing about them is that they are small so you can tie them in a bunch and put them anywhere. My husband put one next to the vanity for a towel - even a small towel looks good on this hook - better than a stupid towel ring.

I love these oiled Moen Robe (towel) hooks! The price here at Revain was definitely cheaper than Lowes. My 3 young sons share a Jack and Jill style bathroom between their rooms and the builder only installed a towel rail which none of them could reach!
