The base does not stay on

Excellent innovation for grating ginger. Very fast and doesn't rub your fingers! However, the base that captures the grated ginger doesn't fit/exit the device, so it's very poorly designed or made from that point of view.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • So-so

Not as good as it looks

This device uses a piece of round microplane. So you have to move the stuff you provide around in circles. It might be a godsend for ginger root, but citrus is a pain compared to a standard microblade grater. just because it's easy to hold doesn't solve the citrus peel problem. It's new at best.

Works great but a design flaw

Really good sharp grater! The multi-directional blades make it easy to use and produce very good grated ginger. The only downside to the design is that it needs to have a protective cover for the cutting surface. It would be great if the part on the bottom that catches the chips was designed as a protective storage sleeve - I'll have to keep that in the box - it won't last forever.

Pros
  • Confuse wide range

Versatile but not perfect

Loved trying this grater, recommended by Milk Street. Works great with garlic, ginger, and citrus peels, but has one nasty downside. The lower part that catches the grids is meant to attach to the upper part, but that's not the case and it would be a lot less awkward if that were the case. Sometimes, on the first version of the article, they learn to improve on the second. I look forward to your update and hope you give me an incentive to try it out, or maybe I got an update that won't connect?

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Upgradable

Great grater, poor base construction

This grater is fantastic. It's easy to use and quickly finishes ginger and citrus zest. However, on my third use, I can't fit the bottom closely to the top, so it's really difficult to use now. I only have one hand so I can't hold the device while I lose something. I use a non-slip sticky surface to secure the base during use, but the top of the grater keeps slipping, rendering it unusable. to me. There doesn't seem to be a way to attach the base to the top of the grater, or I haven't figuredโ€ฆ
