🚲 Ultimate Security with the Mongoose Cable Combo Bicycle Lock (5-Feet) Review

Extremely cheap lock I use to lock my rear wheel. It works well as a complement to a stronger U-lock and I would definitely not recommend locking your bike with just this lock. Best of all is the price and the fact that the lock is made out of plastic so unlike many metal combination locks it won't rust in the rain.

Excellent value for money. This is a backup lock that I keep in my drawer just in case, and it seems quite heavy (especially compared to other cheap options available). It also allows you to customize combos. FYI, this lock is a combination lock only (in the picture it appears to open with a key as well).

Looks like a good lock for the money and I really like the combination reset function. This is very easy. The product was also well packaged which was a surprise for the price. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because mine arrived with a very strong smell of mosquito repellent for some reason.

Great that you can set the code yourself so it's easier to remember! I hate when things come with a predetermined code with numbers that don't tell you anything. I only remember them for about an hour, and then this item is useless to me! This item is great and serves its intended purpose! Love that it's 5ft long (others only had 4ft) - helps secure the bike around items that aren't very thin!

Bought two of these for my daughters to put on their bikes. I wanted something that would discourage someone from walking their bikes if they parked them in good spots for a short time. Those tricks. It should also be easy to remember their code - I asked them to use the first four digits of their school lunch code, which is easy for them to remember. That's a good price for what I need!

Great product, would buy again. It's easy to work hard to pick this lock. I can usually pick these locks but this one gives false alarms and the lock won't open if you don't have a combination. I confess I bought this bike lock because it was very cheap. And in this case, you definitely get what you pay for. Even before I used it for the first time, I had a problem setting it up. For some reason after I set my 4 digit PIN, the first digit got disconnected and now just spins freely. Most of these locks have formed wire. It remembers its shape for easy installation where you hide it. Use it at its full length and the curls will be a pain in the ass. No company ever thinks that this is important information for the buyer. Please let me know the wire type.
