DisplayPort to HDMI at 4k and 60Hz.

Has what you need. I have a monitor that supports 4k over HDMI at 60Hz. My dock was only outputting 4k at 60Hz over the DisplayPort connection (the HDMI output was only 4k at 30Hz).

Pros
  • Complies with the DisplayPort 1.2a standard.
Cons
  • There are nuances

Does not support 4k@60hz. DO NOT BUY.

I bought this adapter specifically for use with a 4K monitor at 60Hz as my graphics card only had 1 HDMI output. Tested with two HDMI cables that successfully support 4K@60Hz when connected to the HDMI port. In both cases, the best I could get was 4k at 30Hz, which is unacceptable for gaming.

Pros
  • Connects to both DisplayPort video outputs.
Cons
  • Safety

Works with 3440 x 1440 ultrawide monitor

The converter is finally working. Required to connect my work laptop to my new ultra wide monitor via HDMI at 3440 x 1440 resolution. The laptop didn't have an HDMI output so had to switch Displayport or DVI-D to HDMI. I tried several cables including one that supported 4K but all I could get was 1920 x 1080. It worked, worked for my monitor but only at 50Hz which is fine for my needs.

Pros
  • 18Gbps HDMI bandwidth.
Cons
  • Reliability

Tried and tested. for video cable

I ended up buying this after first trying not one but *two* Veelink DisplayPort to HDMI cables (because it was cheaper than $13 vs $20) but after spending my time with these Veelink adapters that gave me nothing but problems. In the end I said to hell with everything and picked up this version from Monoprice and everything was fine. Monoprice has a long history of making affordable cables with no nasty surprises, well before Revain took over (we're talking the early 2000s).

Pros
  • Supports displays up to 4K/UHD/3840x2160@60Hz.
Cons
  • disappears
