Description of πŸš— Gas-Magnum 34763 Shock Absorber by Monroe Shocks & Struts

DESIGNED FOR TRUCKS AND VANS -- Engineered for hardworking full-size trucks and vans and features full-displaced valving on compression cycles to deliver controlled ride and handling. BUILT TO LAST -- Heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod (non-dust shield units only) and sintered iron piston enhance durability for longer service life while self-lubricating fluid seal reduces friction against piston rod to reduce wear. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and help reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade. LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Larger bore and bigger 2-in. reserve tube work together to hold more oil for greater capacity to allow the shock to work efficiently for controlled ride and longer service life. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE -- Comes with Monroe’s Limited Lifetime Warranty and exclusive Feel the Difference Guarantee.

Normal fleet quality

The bottom bushing is useless as the shock hits the bottom bracket. The damper is wider than OE, needs a larger cone to fit properly.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Fits a 2009 Chevy Express 2500

I installed these on my 2009 Express van to replace the original ones that didn't work as well. Installation was easy and the van drives better than ever.

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Security

Decent quality shocks, struts and suspension

They replaced my original 180,000 mile OEM shocks on my 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4x4. It got a little better, maybe I have a little placebo effect. They don't feel any better and still bounce when you jump on the bumper.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Bad kit

Cons

Good quality! best parts

Installed to replace worn Rancho shocks. The driving behavior has become much better, the bumps also pass better. Nice damper made in USA. Bought them as stock. They were brand new and never installed. Great offer!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Monroe = Good Things

Make no mistake about the brand name. It would have been easy to install if the stock bolts (front shocks) hadn't frozen into the welded nut on the frame. I had to drill out the old screws but yours may be fine and can be easily removed. I would buy again. The rear shock absorbers were easy to replace due to the large bolts.

Pros
  • Stylish and Modern Design
Cons
  • Repair

Monroe is the best for the money

Bought these for my work van, they fit perfectly. I asked the mechanic who installed them, he said there were no problems with the installation. Van has done 150,000 miles and seems to be driving better. I can't say for sure as I carry over 1000 pieces with me all the time. Bought them from Revain because of the price, cheap, under $40 each! Local parts dealers wanted twice as much and even more.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine
