Not worth the money!

Not worth the money! $29 for 4 tiny molds, a small chocolate press and NO chocolate! This is a divorce. I can buy chocolate and 5 molds if not more for LESS! This candy bar maker is useless! Don't waste money. Not a happy customer.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Can be retrofitted

Small, the box looks open, not worth the money.

Very disappointed. That's a lot less than I expected. Unopened dimensions are approximately b9"x10". This is similar to what you'll find in Five Below. The box is slightly wrinkled and appears to be opened/used. There is NO WAY I can gift this. I would hesitate to donate it. Shame on you, Revane.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Was damaged

It was worth it! best in candy molds

We use Enjoy Life chocolate chips to make dairy free candy bars and it's a lot of fun. This kit was great. We've been using it for a few years now. We make chocolates for Halloween, Christmas etc. I highly recommend this set! I don't really use the red bottle, I think you end up wasting chocolate. We simply use a double roaster to melt the chocolate and then spoon it into the molds.

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and shelf life from testers
Cons
  • Requires base

Simple concept, kids love it.

The kids love this set. To be clear, you buy chocolate (i.e. candy bars), melt it in the microwave and use the melted chocolate to make more candy bars. The set includes four different shapes, as well as two inserts, one of which allows you to use the fillings inside the monoblock. The filling insert is cool, because with caramel you can make a chocolate bar, for example. Even if you buy/melt candy bars to make them, kids love it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not bad

Lots of fun but difficult to clean

This was a Christmas present for my son who loves crafts and definitely loves candy. He was so excited to start this. He is 11 years old and could do most of the work by himself. I just helped melt the chocolate. He enjoyed creating different versions of candy bars. He was pretty creative with them. The only downside (and the reason I deducted a star) is the nightmare of cleaning. A juicer that melts chocolate is very difficult to clean. The chocolate gets into small areas and is very difficult

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Small problems

I can't get this damn song out of my head!

My daughter wanted this with her Amazon gift card. But not without watching the annoying video a million times! While it's a bit useless, I think it's a great little set. I was a little confused thinking the wrappers were actual candies that came with the set. The packaging is printed in such a way that it looks like candy, especially on the box. The instructions tell you to melt the chocolate in the silicone part in the microwave. Luckily we don't have a microwave so I used a water bath. I…

Glue is better than chocolate.

Great for kids and adults! I mean my kids loved it and my wife and I loved the silence as they used it instead of fighting! Okay, seriously, the kids got creative. We add nuts, candy, caramel and whatever they like. I think Pop Rocks were involved at some point. Here's the thing: you NEED good chocolate to melt! Melting discs - they're either good or bad. Honestly, I would have preferred sweet chocolate chips. You can't go half sweet here. Real Hershey candy bars are great! This set mainly…

  • Good cause

Dirty, but still worth it.

Bought this as a Christmas present for two 6 year olds. I bought 2 sets. What's good: It kept her entertained for hours. The silicone molds are great. Inserts are very cool. The little paper with suggestions for candy bars was interesting to read. Bad: - The "melt chocolate while pouring" thing didn't work. Each time the chocolate got too hot in the middle but not melted enough on the sides, causing uneven melting and problems. I had to melt all the chocolate and fill the baby molds. - The lid…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Exorbitant piggy bank
