I bought this particular module because it has a dual purpose; This is a heavy granite unit and I can't fault the design. it has one serious disadvantage, it is not smooth inside on both sides, if you whip a little liquid in cream like i do with whipped honey seeds, it's not like that, for that i have to take a glass or other smooth material. This device can take care of lumps, pills, any herbs, but in no case liquid, which does not make it a bad product now. , just not designed for the above.

I have really just received this set and was very pleased with how beautiful and how well the manufacturer did their job! I bought another set of mortar and pestle (different brand, granite, not marble) when it was 40% off making it about $10 cheaper than this one. Then I learned that granite always leaves sand in food, no matter how "seasoned" it may be.
