I bought this bag for a trip in September 2018 and still use it. It's not very padded so if you want a big bag you might not like it. The fabric (grey) is actually a plastic coated fabric and is waterproof. The seams and zippers are of course not waterproof. The bag has a nice square shape when loaded and the coated fabric gives it some structure so it stands upright and doesn't fall into a soft heap when lowered.
