What were you thinking with this adapter?

I just bought this to hopefully fix my soft pedal issues on my Tundra, but the crappy adapter doesn't seal the master cylinder at all. What were you thinking with this design? The chain is too short so I had to buy a longer chain. Then I found that the rubber was nowhere near tight and would leak at less than 4psi. After tightening it to the point where I was concerned about damaging the master cylinder, it ended up sealing well enough to generate about 15psi. I had to coat the rubber gasket…

Surprisingly easy, fast and only requires one person.

This item is actually very good. I use it on a 2005 V6 Toyota Camry so I needed a master cylinder adapter with chain. I was impressed that the chain and wing nut actually worked. TIP: The wing nuts must be tight as we are only dealing with 10psi of pressure. I also took advice from other Toyota reviews to keep the pump bottle dry and only pressurize the master cylinder with air (10psi). When the fluid was low I relieved the tank by unscrewing the pump cap, removed the master cylinder adapter…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Thankfully, returning is easy!

I had high hopes for this product. I have a 2002 Tacoma with a manual transmission. I need to bleed the secondary clutch cylinder. If you've ever attempted to bleed a clutch system, you know what a colossal PITA job that can be! So I was very excited to try this product. After consulting manufacturer's website for application information. (The manufacturer offers several different adapters to choose from depending on the vehicle) I found that the manufacturer recommended a universal (101) kit…

Once the seal is good, it works great!

I have been reviewing this product for several weeks. I did the old fashioned two person blood drawing procedure (which works). I've also tried using an HF pneumatic vacuum vent, which is really only good for sucking old liquid out of the tank. I was a bit nervous before using this product after reading the reviews that it was leaked. The photos posted showing the leaks also got me a little concerned. But I decided to try. I first used this on a 2015 Civic Si. I read the instructions, unplugged

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

Universal adapter worked great

1. Flush cup/universal adapter worked great on a 2004 Honda Accord. brake fluid on the top and bottom of the hemispherical adapter rubber gasket, 2) Make sure the contact surface with the master cylinder reservoir cap is clean and smooth, 3) Position the gasket exactly in the middle/parallel to the hole, and then install Carefully place the cap on / mark the orientation cap. 4) Use two 12" Irwin compression bars on top of adapter cap and bottom of tank. I tightened the clamps until the rubber…

Nice tank, shame about the master cylinder adapter

This review is for a Motive Products 101 system with a 1101 master cylinder adapter. Although the tank appeared to be well made and worked well I had serious problems with the 1101- Master Cylinder Adapter The adapter was a universal device attached with J-bolts and a chain that ran under the master cylinder. Like most compromises, the multi-adapter didn't work at all. I did a pressure test before adding fluid and everything seemed fine. Then I put a quart in brake fluid, sealed it, pressurized

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Damaged
